Terms of Use
Last updated September 3, 2026. Plain language, because you should not need a lawyer to read the terms of a bathroom finder.
What Gotta Go is
Gotta Go is a free tool that helps you find public restrooms nearby. It is provided as-is, with no account and no subscription.
The information may be wrong
Restroom listings come from open community databases (OpenStreetMap and Refuge Restrooms) and from edits made by users. Nobody inspects these places. A restroom may be closed, locked, out of order, paid, or gone entirely, and hours and accessibility details may be out of date or simply incorrect.
Verify before you rely on it, especially for accessibility needs. We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, current, available, safe, or suitable for you, and we are not responsible for what you find when you arrive.
Use it sensibly
Do not use the app while driving. Respect the rules of the businesses and public buildings you enter — a listing here is not permission to enter private property, and a place marked “free” may still have its own conditions. Follow local law.
Contributions
When you add or edit a listing, you are describing a public place. Submit information you believe to be true. Do not submit personal information about yourself or anyone else, harassment, advertising, or anything unlawful.
By contributing, you grant permission for that listing content to be shown in the app and, if you opt in, to be submitted to Refuge Restrooms under their terms. Contributed listing data is community data — you should expect others to be able to edit or correct it, just as you can edit theirs.
We may remove or correct any contribution that is inaccurate, abusive, or unlawful.
Ads and tips
The app itself carries no ads. Our written guides show ads through Google AdSense, which is what funds the free app. Tips are voluntary, handled by Buy Me a Coffee, and buy you nothing — no feature, no priority, no removal of anything.
No warranty, and limits on liability
Gotta Go is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in your area.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or the information in it. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Changes and contact
These terms may change; the date above changes with them, and continued use means the updated version applies. Questions or complaints: see the contact page.
